The Wastes of Eriador is het eerste avonturenpakket in de Angmar Awakened-cyclus voor The Lord of the Rings: The Card Game.
In The Wastes of Eriador moeten verschillende helden van Midden-aarde hun krachten bundelen met de nobele Dúnedain die het eenvoudige volk van het Noorden al heel lang beschermen tegen het onnoemelijke kwaad dat al eeuwenlang in Carn Dûm en omgeving huist. Het scenario van The Wastes of Eriador volgt direct op de epische gebeurtenissen die zich afspelen in de luxe uitbreiding The Lost Realm en laat je een gevangen Ranger redden. Maar terwijl je de vijanden achtervolgt die hem gevangen hebben genomen, leidt je spoor je steeds verder noordwaarts, steeds dieper de heuvels van Angmar in. Daar, terwijl de dag overgaat in de nacht, suggereert het gehuil van wolven dat jouw groep jagers binnenkort de opgejaagde kan worden…
Naast het nieuwe scenario bevat The Wastes of Eriador ook een nieuwe held en drie exemplaren van negen verschillende spelerskaarten. In de landen die zo vaak door de Rangers van het Noorden zijn bereisd, vind je nieuwe Dúnedain, Hobbits, Verkenners en zijmissies. Je vindt ook nieuwe manieren om je helden tegen schade te beschermen en de nieuwe Valour-trigger, die steeds sterker wordt tijdens de Angmar Awakened-cyclus.
Dit is geen op zichzelf staand deck. Een exemplaar van The Lord of the Rings: The Core Set en The Lord of the Rings: The Lost Realm zijn vereist om te spelen.

The Wastes of Eriador is the first Adventure Pack in the Angmar Awakened cycle for The Lord of the Rings: The Card Game.
In The Wastes of Eriador, several of Middle-earth’s heroes must join forces with the noble Dúnedain who have long guarded the North’s simpler folk from the untold evils that have for centuries resided within Carn Dûm and its environs. Following immediately upon the heels of the epic events that unfold in The Lost Realm deluxe expansion, the scenario from The Wastes of Eriador tasks you to rescue a captive Ranger. However, as you pursue the enemies who have captured him, your trail leads you ever northward, ever deeper into the hills of Angmar. There, as day fades into night, the howling of wolves suggest that your party of hunters may soon become the hunted…
In addition to its new scenario, The Wastes of Eriador also contains a new hero and three copies each of nine different player cards. In the lands traveled so often by the Rangers of the North, you’ll find new Dúnedain, Hobbits, Scouts, and side quests. You’ll also find new ways to protect your heroes from damage, as well as the new Valour trigger, which continues to gain strength throughout the Angmar Awakened cycle.
This is not a stand-alone deck. A copy of The Lord of the Rings: The Core Set and The Lord of the Rings: The Lost Realm are required to play.
