Zombicide Night of the Living Dead is een op zichzelf staand spel in de Zombicide-franchise, gebaseerd op de gelijknamige film van George A. Romero.
In Zombicide Night of the Living Dead kruipen spelers in de huid van de hoofdpersonen uit de film, die zich verschansen in een geïsoleerd huis terwijl de doden om hen heen tot leven komen. In de originele film proberen de overlevenden zich in veiligheid te brengen in het huis, terwijl de ghouls (zoals ze in de film worden genoemd) een voortdurende dreiging van buitenaf vormen. Het is een gespannen psychologische thriller vol gruizige stemmingen en duistere thema’s, maar de game laat de overlevenden het gevecht aangaan met de hordes ondoden. Het spel maakt gebruik van de standaard Zombicide-mechanica.
Er zijn twee varianten in het spel: Romero – waar de personages de attributen uit de originele film hebben en Zombicide: waar de filmpersonages hun attributen hebben versterkt om aan de Zombicide-wereld te voldoen – maar altijd de kans hebben om terug te vallen op hun originele Romero-personage.

Zombicide Night of the Living Dead
Zombicide Night of the Living Dead is a standalone game in the Zombicide franchise based on the George A. Romero movie of the same name.
In Zombicide Night of the Living Dead, players take on the role of the movie’s main characters, holed up in an isolated house while the dead come to life all around them. The original movie sees the few survivors hunkering for safety in the house as the ghouls (as they’re called in the film) pose a continuous threat from outside. It’s a tense psychological thriller full of gritty moods and dark themes, but the game lets the survivors take the fight to the hordes of the undead. The game uses standard Zombicide mechanics.
There are two variants included in the game: Romero – were the characters have the attributes from the original movie and Zombicide: where the movie characters have had their attributes amped up to meet the Zombicide world – but always have the chance of regressing to their original Romero character. .
