Dim Carcosa is het zesde en laatste Mythos Pack in de Path to Carcosa-cyclus voor Arkham Horror: The Card Game.
Je onderzoek naar het mysterieuze toneelstuk The King in Yellow heeft je over de hele wereld geleid en je naar de rand van de waanzin gebracht. Nu, in de laatste akte van het Pad naar Carcosa reis je voorbij de kosmos naar een plek die alle verbeelding te boven gaat. Voor je ligt een verwrongen, buitenaardse stad. De kronkelige straten en afwijkende architectuur hebben geen schijn van orde of structuur. In de verte weerspiegelt een troebel meer de schittering van twee zonnen. De locaties in dit scenario hebben dus geen niet-onthulde kant, maar aan de andere kant liggen verhaalkaarten waarmee je de plotlijnen kunt uitzetten. In dit verloren rijk is waanzin onvermijdelijk. Maar zelfs als je geest gebroken en gebroken is, eindigt je onderzoek hier niet. In Dim Carcosa ben je niet verslagen als je evenveel of meer horror hebt dan je geestelijke gezondheid. Your investigation into the mysterious play The King in Yellow has led you across the globe and brought you to the edge of madness. Now, in the final act of the Path to Carcosa you travel beyond the cosmos to a place beyond all imagining. Before you lies a warped, alien city. Its twisting streets and aberrant architecture have no semblance of order or structure. In the distance, a murky lake reflects the glare of two suns. This is Carcosa – the realm of madness in the stars, where Hastur reigns supreme.
All shall be revealed when you travel to Dim Carcosa, meaning that the locations in this scenario have no unrevealed side. Instead, their reverse sides bear story cards to push your plotlines forward to their final curtain. In this lost realm, insanity is inevitable. But even with your mind fractured and broken, your investigation does not end here. In Dim Carcosa, you are not defeated when you have horror equal to or greater than your sanity. Instead, you journey on, facing impossible odds in the hopes to return home alive.
