Ondanks de naam is de Cultus van de Motman onderverdeeld in twee sekten – de Verlichte en de Volgelingen van de Gevleugelde. Terwijl de Verlichte over het algemeen vredelievend zijn, hebben de Volgelingen niets dan vijandigheid tegen mensen buiten hun orde – zij zien buitenstaanders als indringers in hun heilige land, als ongedierte. En wat doe je als ongedierte je huis heeft geteisterd? Dan roei je ze uit.

Despite the name, the Cult of the Mothman is actually broken into two sects – the Enlightened, and the Followers of the Winged One. Whilst the Enlightened are generally peaceful, the Followers hold nothing but animosity towards those outside of their order – seeing outsiders as invaders of their sacred lands, as vermin. And what does one do when vermin have infested their home? You exterminate them.
